Ehrman Peddles Doubt

Professor Ehrman -- a former evangelical and star of several Teaching Company lectures who "saw the light" at Princeton -- has committed his life to demythologizing the Bible. His goal seems to be to create doubt on the part of the believer -- doubt for doubt's sake, a sensational doubt.^M

C'mon

BE has written another volume based on his particualr point of view. Is he an historian? Does that fact that he claims to be "fair" in his conculsion be trusted. I think the answer is yes and no. I like his writing style but this book and others he has written has a taste of the "Emergent" view that seems to be the new demthylogizing of the 21st century. I like this book but find Barts "agenda" tedious.
