Equality does not change Role/role...

I've found the "New Revised Standard Version" ('NRSV') to fill a void that no other published version in modern English has been able to. It's a highly accurate translation, safer than the NIV and NAB through its stricter conformance, though it still contains translating that is less accurate - even to the point of misconveyance, here and there.^M

Good start, but goes downhill fast!

I haven't ever read the Bible before, but a lot of friends at work were like, "Dude, you gotta read the Bible," so I decided to read it.^M

The First Bible I REALLY Read

I love this Bible and a year later am still very excited with it. It's easy to read, and even includes in the beginning of each book/chapter HOW you should read that particular book with things to look for. People you'll meet in reading that book are introduced and you're given references for where to find more about them. There are lots of little features where a verse will be disected and explained and many extra stories that give you the interesting details behind some of the Biblical characters. It's a million times easier to understand than a KJV. This is the first Bible I've been able to sit down and read and don't want to put it down. It's just much easier to understand. If you have had a hard time reading the Bible, try this one.
