Good picture stories, but fragile book binding

We bought two of these bibles for our sons ages 7 and 9 and they love them. We already own a Picture Bible bought in 1994 for our older daughter, but the pages kept coming loose. We've reglued the pages back in many times (which by the way, we've found that the craft glue "tacky glue" in the silver bottle works the best).^M

I PURCHASED 3(1 FOR EACH FAMILY,6 GRANDSONS,AGES 3-14). THEY LOVE THE "PICTURE BIBLE". MOTHERS SAID THEY LOVED IT TO. THE BRIGHTLY COLORED PICTURES AND WORDING HOLDS THEIR ATTENTION. WE WILL BE ORDERING 3 MORE SO EACH BOY CAN HAVE HIS OWN.

Great Bible for young children

I, too, read this Bible as a kid around 20 years ago, and I LOVED IT! When I passed it down to one of my nieces, the front cover was hanging by a string. I was just looking for a Bible to give to my friend's daughter for her 9th birthday. I was not sure if the Bible I had as a kid was still in print, but I figured I would search for something similar. As I started looking through the illustrated children's Bibles, I read the excerpts of The Picture Bible and saw the pictures, and knew it was a newer version of the one I had. Of course I am buying it. I think it is a great Bible for a child who is old enough to read, and it is captivating enough for the child to want to read and re-read on their own. I would recommend this children's Bible over any of the others I have reviewed.
