I LOVE THE BIBLE BUT AM DISAPPOINTED IN THE QUALITY OF THE LEATHER COVER. IF I HAD KNOWN IT WAS GOING TO BE OF SUCH POOR QUALITY I WOULD HAVE ORDERED IT IN A HARD BACK.^M

The absolute best Bible for exegesis, but may not be for the new Christian.

This Bible is the equivalent of a thick New York Strip steak. It may be a little much for tender (inexperienced) pallettes, but is an absolute treat for the hardy.^M

Can be useful if you know the limitation

This study bible can be very useful because it helps to clarify the meanings of words in original languages. However, understanding the meanings of words is only the first step to understand any language. Too many people today put too much emphasis on meanings of the single words in Hebrew and Greek. They neglect the grammar, sentence structures, flow of thoughts in a paragraph, themes and structures of a book, the teachings of the whole Bible, the historical background and cultural context of the Bible, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit, both direct and through other believers of current age and throughout the history (not just the last 400 years after the Reformation) when they read and study the Bible. For those people, this study bible is simply another one to "fit their lives rather than change them."
