For smart women only!

Do you really have to follow to the letter this book as a gospel? Of course not! It is written mostly for women who are really "women" in the real, non-feministic meaning of this word. I can't understand why there are women at this forum who successfully multi-task day after day and at the end instead of being very proud and happy complain just like outsiders or try to blame this book for the problems with their husbands. For good or bad WE have the opportunity to give birth to our children, raise and discipline them sometimes alone. ^M

More man-hating garbage

Please don't do anything foolish on the basis of what a girl tells you. I know you want to believe her and want help her but females are naturally manipulative. Consider the possiblilty that you are being set up. This is only your problem if you make it your problem. Leave it to the police and the rape crisis center. Sorry to cast doubt on the story but I have had long experience. Make sure you take care of yourself first.

Another from a man

I have not read the book. The mother of one of my students delivered this book to my wife with a strong reccomendation. We agreed to discuss the contents of the book in an honest manner after she had finished reading it. It took us three days in several hour blocks to just scratch the surface of the issues raised by this book. In my wife's words..."I had no idea...". Frankly, neither did I...For a man, the topics were hauntingly accurate and, in some cases, difficult to discuss because you have to truly reveal your innermost fears and desires. Allowing yourself to become this vulnerable is not a familiar process for most men. And most women will likely feel some discomfort with much of what they hear if the man is being truly honest with his feelings. Will it solve all you marital problems? No. But it is a good starting point for anyone who is on the journey to truly understand their partner. This book made many issues crystal clear for both of us.
