Wonderful album for all ages!!

Jars of Clay is very smart in making this album. They sing old, classic hymns, drawing older people to the songs, but make the hymns a bit more contemporary without destroying the whole classic feeling of the hymns by making it digitalized and pop, like many song remakes nowadays. Unlike most other Christian contemporary albums which has songs both about God and about worldly love, this CD focuses on God and nothing else. These songs are very uplifting and encouraging, and I really like listening to them.^M

Bought this for myself for Christmas!

Ok, I know that's silly, but mom bought my the songbook, so I couldn't wait any longer. She and I love to sing together, hymns, mostly, but now I get to introduce two of my favorite people(s). My very spiritually 67 yr old mother to my FAVORITE group. (crying)^M

Respecting what has come before

I first heard a few of these songs at a live concert with Jars of Clay, and they sounded great. I finally broke down and bought the CD--it quickly became my current favorite.^M
